Ultra-Violet Light Transmission

The ability of any coating to block short wavelength ultraviolet light improves the
longevity of the pigment color retention. Short wavelength ultraviolet light, primarily below 300nm, is the portion of light that causes the greatest fading effect (oxidation) of color pigments in any coating.

The WC-1 is able to block short wavelength light and as a result, the color retention is greatly improved. When darker colors are clear coated with WC-1 Clear, then fading is prevented to a greater extent.
